Museum Vessels

cultral heritage at sea

Stavanger Maritime Museum owns and operates two historic sailing vessels. Anna af Sand is a typical sloop, built in Hardanger and used to transport goods along the coast of Western Norway from the 1700s to far into the 1900s. Wyvern, by contrast, was built as an exclusive yacht and intended for sailing the open sea. Both vessels are sailed by volunteer crews.
